TG Guitars Neil Young Tribute:
The Horse Serial # 002
This guitar body was hand crafted in the USA out of a
pine sleeper beam from a barn built in the 1880’s in
Mayville, MI. The tree was estimated to be over 200
years old when cut down. This guitar is painted with
thin coats of old fashion Nitrocellulose Lacquer. All of
the cover plates and the Pick Guard were hand made
out of aluminum. I hand engraved the horse head,
neck plate and truss rod cover. It has Grover Original
Milk Bottle style Romantic tuning keys and a bone nut.
The Electronics are as follows: The pickups are hand
wound from Brandonwound pickups. P-90 in the neck
and Firebird in the Bridge. It has Mojotone Vintage
Taper CTS 500K Pots with Military Paper-in-Oil .022
Caps. The Micro switch when pushed towards the butt
of the guitar takes the Firebird pickup straight to the
jack, bypassing all of the controls. When pushed
towards the headstock, the guitar is setup with vintage
Gibson Les Paul wiring. It has a USA Switchcraft pickup
selector and a Bigsby B-7. The Bridge is a Gibson ABR-1.
This Old Growth wood has a very tight ring pattern and
rings like a bell.
