Bourgeois OMC LSH Deep Body Premium Cocobolo and Italian Spruce Custom NEW

The Bourgeois OMC deep body with large soundhole is an amazing combination that Dana Bourgeois experimented with that creates something magical. These 2 features, matched with premium tonewoods and bracing gives extra volume and tone that you would normally expect with a much bigger body, not an OM.  We love this combination and are happy to bring you the custom OMC LSH Deep Body.

The back and sides are made from colorful Premium Cocobolo (Dalbergia retusa), a true Rosewood with density 2nd only to African Blackwood and tone that some say can rival the rare Brazilian Rosewood. The top is a clean and light set of Italian Spruce with a large soundhole along with Adirondack Spruce braces and Animal Protein (AP) glue construction. DB Signature Deluxe specs like the highly Figured Hawaiian Koa body, neck and headstock bindings, signature multicolor herringbone top purfling and Gold Waverly tuners with Snakewood buttons wrap this amazing guitar together. The center piece of this build is the large soundhole bound in Koa as well as the Abalone rosette ring surrounding it, which allows more air to move and balances out the deep body perfectly. The soft venetian cutaway has a great look and offers ease of access to the higher frets for a myriad of playing styles.

Other features include Ebony fretboard and bridge, Mahogany neck, Cocobolo headstock overlay, Figured Koa heelcap and wedge, bone pins, 1 3/4″ nut width, 25/16″ saddle spacing and more.

An amazing sound, you would not believe this is an OM size body. Think small dreadnought. This is like a lap piano. A breadth and depth of sound and tone with amazing clarity. Punch, warmth and brilliance, this is a very versatile guitar. It can easily hold it’s own in a jam played with a flatpick, or fill a room fingerstyle.
