Terry Kath "Chicago" Custom Tribute Telecaster w/HSC

This Terry Kath Tribute "Chicago" Telecaster Guitar is a custom build by Triage Guitar Shop of West Palm Beach, Florida.

It is an accurate, but affordable alternative to the $3,500, $12,000 or $20,000 copies offered. And this one does have the Strat Tremolo.

Here is a list of what we did to replicate this historic icon guitar.

We started with a 2016 Squier 50's classic style Telecaster. The following mods were made to replicate the original.

Squier logo sanded off the headstock , Other logos removed from back of headstock

Neck and fingerboard scratched, sanded and age simulated

Installed Gotoh 6 in-line chrome Schaller style tuners

Pickguard removed and neck pickup replaced with a closed Terry Kath style Alnico 5 chrome humbucker pickup

Existing Tele bridge shortened to allow room for Genuine Fender Strat Tremolo

Routing performed to install Strat Tremolo. Back cavity covered with gray duct tape like original

Body relic'd in arm rest area, body edges and back

Control panel rotated to replicate position of original

Stickers added in locations to replicate original (Maico wing sticker, Pignose stickers and frames, Blackhawks Indian head sticker)

New Set of Ernie Ball Super Slinky Strings installed

All notes played and controls exercised to ensure proper operation

New Hard Shell Tweed Style Case included as well as some cool case candy and accessories.
