About This Listing

For sale is a Charvel 650 XL in rare Desert Crackle finish. I am the second owner that I know of. At some point the headstock was damaged, professionally repaired and repainted black on the top (like a 475) since the original Desert Crackle paint and lettering couldn’t be matched. The paint elsewhere was just touched up in order to keep the original finish. The photos show the most visible signs of the prior break on the side of the headstock. There are a number of old finish issues that have been repaired, so if you’d like to see any additional photos or angles please just ask.

The electronics are all original (though it does have an upgraded aluminum cavity cover with a battery box built into the electronics cover to allow for easy battery changes without removing the cover). Pickups sound great—in fact this might be one of the best sounding Charvel I’ve played. Comes with non-original case.

The only reason I am selling this one is that I found the exact same guitar with a matching painted headstock.

Thank you for looking. Please let me know if you have any questions.
