About This Listing

It is hard to deny the iconic footprint the Telecaster has imprinted since its debut 70 years ago. Countless players have relied on this basic but very tried and true platform: a slab body with a bolt-on neck construction in its simplest form. In the right players' hands, a Telecaster can excel in any style of music, serving as a true blank canvas for the artist who chooses this weapon for battle. In 1959, Fender gave a cosmetic facelift to this classic platform and introduced the Telecaster Custom, featuring a double-bound body that yielded beautiful results. In many circles, the double-bound Tele is considered the pinnacle of looks and style, infused to perfection with the tonal juggernaut that the Telecaster is known for.

Lark Guitars is proud to present our modern spin on this timeless classic with the 1960 Bound Telecaster!

With its double-bound body, the Lark 1960 bound Tele boasts stunning aesthetics that perfectly complement this tonal juggernaut. Our modern interpretation boasts a roasted maple neck, a testament to contemporary craftsmanship offering unparalleled stability and resonance while exuding a darkened beauty. A beautiful Rosewood fretboard sets the stage with contrasting aged clay dots setting the mood for the Dunlop jumbo 6100 frets. Designed for effortless playbility the 9.5" - 12" compound radius allows smooth bends. The alder double bound body pairs nicely with the roasted maple neck by allowing timeless open air midrange with rich harmonics, and superb sustain.

Embracing the legacy of its ancestors, the Lark Fender Custom Shop 1960 Bound Telecaster retains the classic setup that has become synonymous with the Telecaster name. Josefina hand-wound single-coil pickups breathe life into the guitar delivering sweet round tones. Josefina '58 neck and Blackguard bridge pickups bring bright, articulate tones that are classic Telecaster to a whole new level. The traditional three-way pickup selector switch, volume and tone controls, and vintage-style bridge with the upgraded RSD brass saddles ensure impeccable intonation and steadfast tuning stability.

Prepare to embark on a musical journey with the 1960 Bound Telecaster—a guitar that marries timeless aesthetics with modern ingenuity. Whether you're a seasoned guitarist seeking to expand your sonic horizons or a vintage aficionado yearning for the perfect blend of style and substance, this guitar will inspire your creativity and ignite your passion.
