A very cool, and very RARE Vintage Guitar!
Its a 1966, Electro Made by Rickenbacker, Model 100, Lap Steel Guitar with the leg set! Not only do we have the leg set, but we also have the Hard Shell Original Case and the matching Electro 12 inch amp also with the original amp cover! Check all those pics. What a find!
We just got this and lightly cleaned it all up. The Guitar needed some new strings but it was in awesome shape. Didn't need anything. The guitar has the awesome Rickenbacker Horseshoe Pickup. Very strong and sounds great!
The Amp has some stains on the Tolex that we couldn't get off. Not sure what had gotten on it but we couldn't get it to budge. Doesn't look bad but its there.
The Case for the Lap Steel was missing the original handle. We put a replacement on it. It looks great. The case is in very good shape with the cool Rickenbacker Blue Plush still in very good shape. The legs all work and have the rubber ends. Those should be replace. They are pretty brittle. Two turn into the brackets on the guitar just fine but one doesn't seem to thread properly. It stays in when its set up but falls out when you pick the guitar up. Be aware it will need some attention.
The Amp is just awesome. What a powerhouse! It is really loud and the tremelo will shake your belly. It works and sounds fantastic. It also dates the amp to 1966 as well. All original to include the original Jensen 12 inch Speaker. No problem keeping up with the band with this one. All original including the cool amp cover.
The guitar can be played as a traditional lap or use the original Electro Leg set. They have extenders on them which allow the legs to be at 24 inches long at the shortest and up to 45 inches long for you long legged lap players!
So cool to have the original case with it as well. All latches, hinges are still here and operate as they should. Only the handle was replaced. An awesome case for this really cool guitar. Don't forget the amp cover as well.
