For sale is a rare, nice vintage Guild hard case, I believe from the 1960s. This listing is ONLY for the black case, not the other tweed case or guitar shown in the photos for reference. This case is very rare, as the cases were sold separately from the guitars, and they weren't cheap. So it makes sense that there are many more F20s and M20s out there than cases like this. I've done a little research and these are hard to come by or even see any examples of.
Fits an M20 (Nick Drake guitar) or F20, or possibly was for the classical guitars Mark I, II, III, IV, V. I don't have one to check. Please see my comparison photos to see size- I show it with a modern GAD M20 and next to the case the GAD M20 comes with. The GAD M20, as you can see, isn't perfectly snug in the waist area, but I don't know if this is by design, if it has to do with variations in body size with different years/models, or if the case is meant for the Mark series guitars.
Please see photos for condition. All the latches work, and the case closes properly. The button latch pops open if you don't latch it correctly. This is something of an art I'm sorry to say, and usually takes me a few tries, but it closes and stays closed. It's easiest to latch when the case is on its side, not laying flat. There is no key.
The case is in good shape for its age. It has a couple of small mysterious holes in the back, perhaps BBs, who knows. I took some close up photos of these holes from the outside and inside for your reference. The inner compartment door is in great shape, as you can see. The outside has typical wear but not bad for a fifty year old case. Please feel free to ask questions.
