Transparent body. Ampeg Dan Armstrong Lucite Bass with Lucite body material.
Ampeg Lucite Bass. Designed by Dan Armstrong at the request of Ampeg, this guitar/bass was only available from 1969 to 1971 and features an acrylic resin body called "Lucite". The scale is 30' 1/2 scale with 24 frets, and the pegs are used with guitar pegs. The short scale is easy to play and can be used by guitar players without any discomfort. The fingerboard is made of endangered Brazilian rosewood (Jacaranda), making this a unique and standout vintage bass.
