About This Listing

Formed in 1942, Valco were the cornerstone of affordable guitar building in the post war era. Responsible for building solid body guitars for both National and Supro (both companies having close ties to Valco), the Belmont was introduced alongside the more popular Dual Tone. It came with either a neck or bridge pickup and Valco’s Kord King neck which featured a large metal section along its full length instead of the truss rod.

In overall great condition, there are a few patches where the paint has started to bubble. There is also a small patch where the paint has chipped. Other than these there are very little signs of wear.

The neck too is in great shape with little signs of wear. There is some wear to the fretboard but there is plenty of life left in the original frets.

The hardware and plastics are in good condition without to much wear.

Electrically everything looks correct

The guitar comes with its correct croc-skin case.

The unique pickups on these Supro guitars, in this case a True Spanish Bass are a revelation. They are clear and characterful that sound great when played into a slightly driven amp. Ideal for both standard playing and slide.

Look something a little different to inspire then look no further…
