Gordon Smith Gatsby Super-Lite 2022 - 6.5lbs Custom high spec. Bude White (cream)

Hand made in England, this is a 2022 near mint example with plastic film still on the scratch plate and control covers. In Bude (cream) finish with matching headstock.

Bought on a whim but now surplus to requirements. This is a higher spec guitar than the 'Launch Edition' Gatsby. The cost of a new Gatsby Super-Lite custom-built to include the upgrades on this model is currently quoted on the Gordon Smith website at £1,764.

Lightweight paulownia body, maple neck, rosewood fingerboard. The build quality is exceptional. The slightly downsized offset body is super comfortable on a strap or seated. The whole guitar weighs only 6.5lbs (2.9kg).

The maple neck has a slim profile and a satin finish with vintage tint. The fingerboard has a 12-inch radius, 22 frets and Gordon Smith's celebrated brass nut. Tuners are Gotoh SG381s and the bridge is a low profile brass roller with an HK41 Vibrato.

Pickups are Gordon Smith's own hand-wound P90s, selected by a three-way switch and controlled by a master volume and a master tone control.

It comes with its original fitted plush-lined Gordon Smith hard case.
