This was a limited production model that doesn't have the piezo pickups and all the electronics (including the extra knobs and switches) that go with that! The result? The sound is clearer, punchier, more direct, and more responsive. If you play it side by side with a "regular" Deluxe, like I did, you'll notice those differences immediately! It's actually IMHO a way better guitar. What it "gives up" in flexibility, it more than makes up in its sound performance. You can actually hear what those pickups sound like! They're fantastic. Punchy presence, wonderful sensitivity, and that sweet, predictable, controllable feedback. Many Parker Deluxe owners swapped the factory DiMarzios in a quest for better sound, unaware that it was all the extra electronics that were getting in the way! Most guitarists don't know about this model. Many Parker owners don't.
