FE Olds Recording Model Trombone

Serial number 728XXX dating from 1969 during the heyday of American band instrument manufacture in the USA.
Fabulous Condition!

This wonderful FE Olds Recording Model trombone, 728XXX was made in 1969 in Fullerton California during the period of the best brass instruments ever made. This model features a dual bore. The measurements are .495" or 12.5 mm and .510" or 13.0 mm, making it a small to medium size bore. The horn came to us in phenomenal condition. The slides are impeccable and feel as sommth as glass. The lacquer wear is minimal and about 90% intact. Gorgeous engraved logo. Onlt a couple of minor dings and scuffs. No dents or repaired dents. Minor dings and scratches. Just about the best sounding trombone we have ever had in the store. Would probably lend itself best to solo, studio or any kind of recording work. You really want to hear the tone more than anything. Slides work beautifully. Just a joy to play!
Another feature specific onlt to Olds vintage trombones is the fluted or duo octagonal inner slide. It's near impossible to see or to get in a photo, but the slight fluting keeps the slides perfectly straight and moving with maximum velocity.
The original case is included and is also in fabulous condition.
