I just added a gold b7 bigsby . It didnt require any perminate changes to the guitar. The original harp tailpiece can be put right back on. I just felt i needed it playing alot of rockabilly music.

This is a 1955 GUILD X-400. These things are extremely rare! They are so rare they wernt even advertised by Guild as a model you can order out of a brochure at the time.

All the appointments are everything you would want out of one of these old rockabilly machines, such as the original cream bakelite covered Franz underwound single coil oversized pickups with just the neck neck and bridge positions. No need for that third mid - pickup which is too much and make them sound muddy.

Notice them original translucent amber tuning peg heads. One of the posts are slightly bent. But still works perfect and just gives it more mojo. With the matching volume and tone knobs! Can't find them anymore. Oh and the highly desirable open book style headstock shape . Only done in those few short years back then. And the headstock is bound!

The action and playability on this guitar is absolutely superb!!!. The only work I know that was done to this guitar was some small couple of pieces of binding had to be added due to shrinking over the past 70 years. Almost undetectable. Also the front pick up was having some trouble and it was fixed by the world famous luthiers from gravity strings in st louis which I was told he was the personal guitar tech for Chuck Berry for many years. And it comes with that amazing original case. The case alone I can just stare at all day. And that will definitely be the price drop. I'm sure it'll sell at $4k

In my opinion this is just the coolest most rare with all the right appointment Guild hollow body you can get. That's why I am only willing to let it go for $8,500. If it never sells im totally OK with that, but I don't think it will last. Good luck
