Having sold many I can guarantee consistency and reliability without audio quality compromise and still make it really affordable.

IT WILL NOT WORK ON CONDENSER MICROPHONE  needing phantom power 48v thru.

Therefore The microphone input is safe from any phantom power leak : 0VDC

AS YOU SHOULD DO ON STAGE OR IN THE STUDIO: SWITCH OFF YOUR MOBILE PHONE and take care of excessive wifi.

The unit is well shielded but the nature of a pre-preamp fairly high gain is extremely sensitive to RFI/EMI.

In a studio it is great on ribbon mics, it seems that I sold a lot for SM7b..dynamics also for Professional and amateur Broadcaster alike.

Note that if you have World class preamps like 1073 clones, API, quadeight..you want to drive these well instead of using it at unity with a booster like this. Still it is superb on ribbon where you need a lot of gain keeping low Signal/noise ratio.

You can turn your SM58 or Beta58 or Beta57s dynamics Microphone onto Active High Sensitive Microphones on stage with this booster for live also.

The Best practice is to plug the booster to microphone with a patch XLR lead & long cable to preamp to avoid strain and mechanical stress.
