Vintage Sunburst Gibson 335 'Fat Neck' model. I think the serial number indicates 2007 manufacture, but I purchased it brand new in March 2009.
It is a wonderful guitar in wonderful condition. It is stock except for the upgraded tuners (original tuners included - originals & replacements are all green tulip)
Long story short is that this is a fairly rare model made in Memphis for a few years. Basically a 59 re-issue that wasn't made in the custom shop. It is thinner and lighter than a typical 335. It also has a thicker neck.
Don't let the 'Fat Neck' name fool you. The neck is NOT a 'baseball bat'. It is basically the neck you would find on a 59 Les Paul. The neck is Much thinner than my 57 Les Paul reissue (R7) and comparable - to slightly slimmer than my 58 Les Paul reissue (R8). I think it is about the most comfortable neck shape out there.... but opinions vary.
Original Hard Case included.
It's a great player looking for a new home. Come and get it.
Questions are welcome.

The ES-335 "Fat Neck" - while not a full-on historic reissue - is tailored to be more like a vintage 1959 335 than the current production models. That starts with the thicker, '50s-style neck carve made of mahogany. The Fat Neck also sports a thinner body style that's much closer to the style of a vintage '59 335. For pickups, the Fat Neck has '57 Classic humbuckers for a tone that is pure, vintage Gibson. The coolest thing about the Fat Neck is that it's built like a reissue, yet manages to be priced more moderately than a vintage reissue.
