The Russlon Fuzz is handmade in Germany. This Fuzz is based on maybe the most popular high-gain Fuzz/Distortion/Sustainer,
the Green Russian distortion/sustainer. A boutique pedal with all the “box candy” comes in a “Jute-Bag” with a
button, guitar pick, and stickers.
If you’re looking for the classic 70’s fuzz, then you’ve got to try this
pedal.
Also, Rees Music translated the instruction manual from German into English so you don’t have to!
You can choose between the following three (3) modes by utilizing
the three (3) position toggle switch:
M: Muff-Mode,The classic green Russian sound.
B: Boost Mode, Louder and rougher.
S: Supa-Mode, Sounds more Fuzzy, deeper and
angrier.
Three (3) tone-shaping controls:
Volume (Pegel) Sets the overall volume of the effect.
Tone (Klang) Set
the knob to the left to let more of the bass frequencies through or to the
right to add more treble.
Distortion (Verzerrung)
This knob will allow you to dial in the amount of distortion.
(Translation stickers included that can be applied to the pedal!)
Power Supplies:
Either a 9V battery or an external power supply can power
the Russlon Fuzz. If using an
external power supply use a 2.1x5mm Center Negative plug. If the polarity is incorrect you will
potentially damage your pedal.
Another great feature is that the 9V power supply input jack in mounted to the
pedal case and not just to the circuit board. The Russlon Fuzz draws 3.5ma when engaged and 1.7ma when off.
Accessing the
battery and the LED Brightness switch
To access the battery simply remove the four (4) bottom
screws and remove the bottom plate. This also gives you access to set the
brightness of the LED. The two (2) settings are:
Studio: Less bright and lower power consumption, if using a 9V battery.
Stage: Brighter and greater power consumption, if using a 9V battery.
Bypass Switch The Russlon Fuzz also features a “True Bypass” foot switch. This means that when the effect is disengaged the pedal will not affect your instruments signal.
The Dimensions are 122mm (4 ½”) x 101mm (3 ½”) x 52mm (1 3/8”) {L x W x H} and the weight without the battery is 324g (10.6oz).
