Up for sale, a 2017 History NT-L4 dreadnought acoustic guitar in near mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case and an L.R. Baggs M80 pickup. Crafted exclusively for the Japanese market at the Fujigen factory, the square shoulder NT-L4 draws its inspiration from the traditional Martin D-18 dreadnought platform, featuring a solid X-braced Sitka spruce top, solid mahogany back, sides, and neck, and a rosewood fretboard and bridge. The sound is full and defined, with the inherent warmth and breadth of mahogany and a sweet, subtle growl when strummed with authority. The upper midrange response is detailed and chiming, and the treble register is crisp and lively. Plugged in, the L.R. Baggs pickup has a dimensional and natural sound, with the option for passive or active operation. The guitar weighs 4lbs 13oz with onboard pickup, and has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 12-53 strings and comfortable action.

The mahogany neck has lightly rolled fretboard edges and a V shaped profile carve at the nut, transitioning to a more rounded C shape with good shoulder in the higher registers of the fretboard. The profile measures .840” deep at the 1st fret and .935” at the 9th. The rosewood fretboard features mini dot position markers and pristine medium jumbo fretwire, playing cleanly up the 25 1/2" scale with a straight neck and responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod. The action at the 12th fret measures 6/64” at the low E and 4/64“ at the high E. The bone nut measures 1 11/16" in width, and the headstock features the History logo and chrome set of Gotoh tuners that turn smoothly and hold pitch well.

On the body, the rosewood bridge sits flush with the top, and the carved and compensated unbleached bone saddle has ample height. The top features multi-ply binding, echoed by the soundhole rosette, and the back is bound as well. The brown tortoise pickguard retains its protective factory film, a testament to how sparingly this guitar has been played since new. The gloss finish on the body is flawless save for a single tiny isolated mark at the treble side shoulder edge near the binding. The neck profile sports a pristine smooth gloss finish.

The original hardshell case and hangtag is included.
