This is a "ONE-OF-A-KIND" Gibson "Super" Citation! For the serious collector of archtop guitars! The guitar is marked on the label "EXP-001", meaning "Experimental" and most likely the only one ever produced 001. Its marked as a Super Citation on the label and gold plate on the back of the headstock because in incorporates "Super 400" features, especially the neck inlays, and "marbleized" pickguard. All normal Citations have "Cloud" linlays like on Epiphone Emperors and wooded pickguards. It also has a different tailpiece like on the "Super V" Gibson archtop from this time period as well. Plus it has a larger neck, measuring 1 &3/4" at the nut, large headstock, and Johnny Smith pickup. But's its a 17" guitar... not 18" like a Super 400. And check out the wood on this guitar! I've never seen a Gibson like it... All original, blond finish, quilted back, and in excellent unplayed condition. This guitar belongs in the Gibson museum... or in yours! Also comes with a beautiful snake-skin covered original case. A Super Citation.... Super cool, and it sounds amazing too.
