Rickenbacher A-25 Lap Steel Electric Guitar.  Cast aluminum body and neck with original gold enamel finish.  Please see the pics, this instrument is in tremendous shape for its age.

It also has the relatively rare larger (thicker magnets) 1 ½ inch horse shoe pickup.  The sought after original pickup was rewound by Todd Clinesmith.  The original fay magnets, poles, and coil were used with new wire.  A recent 250K (VIP) tone pot and vintage Sprague .047 capacitor provides a single tone control.

I believe it is serial number 448, which I understand to place it relatively early in the production line and likely the early 1930s. Ships with what I understand to be the original hardshell case, which is good cosmetic shape and good working order. The instrument is pictured with D'Addario flat-wounds but a fresh set of Pearse Pure Nickel Wound strings have been installed.

It is an exceptional instrument.

The lap steel will be packed well and will ship via insured UPS Ground to the lower 48 states. Buyer pays the first $100 and I'll pay the remaining packing and shipping charges.  Please do message me any questions you may have.  I’m always happy to talk tone and these early lap steels.  Thanks!
