This vintage tube amplifier was designed and manufactured in Los Angeles in the 1960's.
Designed by Don Bonham, the Audio Guild Corporation was owned in part by Bonham; a veteran Magnatone amps electrical engineer responsible for many Magnatone designs.
Audio Guild Corporation (AGC) was started soon after Magnatone made the decision to forego making any and all tube amplifiers and focus solely on solid state amplification.
The Bonham 231R is a combo amp loaded with one 8" Utah Alnico and one 12" Utah Alnico speaker.
Amp is fully functional and shows normal signs of use and storage for its age, particularly in tolex wear (see photos).
Tremolo and reverb sound great, this is really a hidden gem of an amplifier!
We have not serviced this amplifier, or even changed the tubes. Because of this, it is being sold as-is with no returns.
