PRS S2 Custom 24 2014 Dark Cherry Sunburst w/Jerry Garcia Electronics

Introduction: Up for sale is a PRS S2 Custom 24 with Jerry Rosebud electronics (no MIDI). This S2 Custom 24 features a streamlined, beveled carve, 24 frets in great shape, Jerry tone all the way, super fun guitar to play. Hard to find a PRS with a middle pup, and a Fender 5-way switch. This guitar has all three pups coil tapped (Middle has neck or bridge coils selectable), so with the Fender 5-way pup selector you have 20 unique tonal variations.

Maple Grading: The maple on an S2 Custom 24 is reminiscent in grade to the PRS CE bolt–on guitars.

Neck Shape: The S2 Custom 24 incorporates a 25" scale length Pattern Regular neck. Frets in very good shape. Intonation set by Paul from Elderly music using 10-46 strings. Action is comfortable. 

Finish: The S2 Custom 24 incorporates a new finish system where the color coat is embedded under a polyester basecoat and completed with an ultra–thin layer of acrylic urethane topcoat. The acrylic finish where the fretboard meets the neck is pristine with no peeling whatsoever. Please note the finish where the OBEL jack opening was routed.

Bridge: The S2 Custom 24 features the same tried–and–true PRS tremolo. *Note--the bridge has been blocked with a removable wood block to accommodate drop tuning and solid tuning that stays in tune (see pic). Just take out the block if you want to use the reliable PRS tremolo.

Tuners: The S2 Custom 24 features S2 locking tuners. These tuners are fantastic. Guitar stays in tune for weeks!

Pickups: The pickups on this S2 Custom 24 are upgraded to Jerry's Dimarzio Super II DP104s x 3 (original PRS stock will be included on the side of requested). The middle pup cavity was routed by an authorized PRS dealer (the famous Elderly music in Lansing, MI). I wired the middle pup with a dedicated on-off-on coil-tap mini switch for coil tap (neck coil, hum, bridge coil). The bridge side coil is exactly aligned with Jerry's Tiger/Rosebud (22 inches from the nut). The neck and bridge pups are neck coil tapped via a push/pull tone.

Electronics Switching: This S2 Custom 24 has been modified to be an active guitar with a Jerry tone preamp and OBEL. Guitar has three knobs (a master volume, tone for middle pup, push/pull tone for neck and bridge), 5–way Fender pickup switch (neck, neck + middle, middle, middle + bridge, bridge), Wald TPC-2 buffer with adjustable gain (this is Wald electronics' new generation of buffers that has adjustable gain--I like the gain about +1db--requires 9 volt battery--see pics for battery placement), and OBEL (on board effects loop) with OBEL switch.  The OBEL switch is conveniently placed for easy on/off. Just let me know if you want a tutorial on how to use an OBEL-equipped guitar).

Accessories: Comes with the original PRS soft shell case (provided with the axe when purchased), tremolo bar, hi-quality Japanese Bolt sticker (which is removable with no residue), and Schaller security strap lock nuts.
