Amethyst Guitars are handbuilt by luthier Landon DeHetre in Oak Park, Michigan. This particular 8 Bit model has a one piece sapele body and a figured maple back plate. The neck is African mahogany, reinforced with a dual action truss rod and two full length carbon fiber rods. The fingerboard is ziricote. The neck profile is on the thicker side. This instrument features Grover tuning keys, a Gotoh featherweight tailpiece, and a TonePros bridge. The pickups are PAF style humbuckers. The controls are wired for neck pickup volume, neck pickup bass roll-off, bridge pickup volume, and a master tone control.
