The Dove is one of Gibson's most iconic acoustic guitars. The guitar was introduced in 1962, two years after the Hummingbird. Compared to this model, the Dove has a longer scale length and a body made of maple instead of mahogany. This produces a guitar with a brighter sound and louder volume.
The characteristic pickguard with beautifully detailed inlays from which the guitar takes its name immediately catches the eye. Together with the beautifully shaped rosewood bridge, this guitar is a feast for the eyes.
Due to the solid construction and long scale, the guitar has a deep sound that lends itself to various music and playing styles. Due to the presence of an LR Baggs VTC element, the guitar can also be used amplified.
The guitar comes in a hardshell case with Gibson accessory kit and TFOA passport.
