This is one of a duo of custom Americana guitars fresh out of the Avalon factory and like it’s slope shouldered bigger brother it’s an absolute knockout of a build.
It’s based off the award winning S320A model and has been customised with an Adirondack top, Madagascar Rosewood back and sides, leopardwood bindings backstrip & end pin wedge, maple & purple heart side purflings, a slotted headstock with Madagascar facing bound in maple & leopardwood and a bound fingerboard in sycamore and ebony, custom neck profile width of 45mm at the nut with 57mm at the bridge, custom maple & rosewood rosette. It’s also had a deep maroon custom bevelled celluloid pickguard from ‘Holter Pickguards’ fitted to add that extra ounce of style.
This really is a stunning sounding small bodied 12 fretter. This combo of tonewoods is probably our favourite and for good reason. The Adirondack adds power, clarity and dynamics with the Madagascar Rosewood complementing it beautifully adding warmth and sweetness.
It comes in it’s fitted Hiscox lifelite case and with the full Avalon warranty.
