About This Listing

Guitar purchased in 1998 in excellent condition.

  • Glober tuning pegs with its recognized quality.
  • The Dearmond Jet-Star was released in the 1990s as a reissue of the Guild Thunderbird that enjoyed popularity in the 1960s. The model has been used by Bo Diddley and Muddy Waters, among others, and more recently by Dan Auerbach and Mike Campbell.
  • The guitar is equipped with USA Made DeArmond Gold Tone humbuckers. These pickups have a sound reminiscent of Gretsch FilterTrons; clear and crunchy, but with enough punch.
  • The sound is similar to a Les Paul Deluxe on “steroids”. It preserves the treble tones well without muddying the sound.
  • We must highlight its sustain, similar to a Les Paul due to the mahogany body and neck.
