About This Listing

This is a fantastic Fender amp from 1976! It came with a non-original speaker in it that sounded just so-so. I put in a Weber and it'll rock your sox off now! I completely retubed this amp when I bought it a few years ago. If there was a glaring issue with this era amp, I'd say that it was the fact that you could barely hear the effects of the tremolo when it was turned on, even if you turned it all the way up to 10. I had my tech change the 1 meg resistor to around a 500k so the tremolo is more similar to a black face era tremolo circuit and it sounds great now. This is a pretty common mod for these era amps. It comes with a brand new modern Fender amp cover and a brand new vintage style footswitch for the reverb and tremolo. You won't find many, if any like this anymore. Thanks

Update: I had a tech work on my’66 BlackFace Champ and it sounded so good I had him tweak this one by replacing a few capacitors that are known to drift, which they had done. Sounds amazing.

The Princeton Reverb developed out of the original Fender Princeton amp which was also known as the Student model. As the title suggest, the Princeton Reverb added a reverb circuit and control.
