***Get it before Christmas***
An excellent example of the '50's era D-18. This is a 1956, Martin Serial #148765. Sitka Spruce top, Mahogany back and sides, Tortoise binding and pickguard, Rosewood fretboard with the original rosewood long saddle bridge. And that pure Martin tone that only comes with these pre-'70's Martins.
This one is all original finish and hardware in excellent condition. There are the typical minor scratches and finish checks that can be expected on a vintage instrument. There are no cracks on the top, back, sides, neck or headstock. There is a 1.25"+/- scratch on the lower bass bout, near the strap button, that has been professionally filled. Comes with original chip board case.
