About This Listing

This is a rare Bozak Three-Way Four-Speaker System Model B-305 Contemporary. Contemporary refers to the great looking mid-century cabinet type.

Bozak is a brand of yesterday that I have a fondness for. In the past I’ve owned the Bozak B199a drivers, beautifully constructed 12 inch woofers with coaxially mounted B-200x tweeters. While the tweeters left something to be desired, I found the big woofer to be nearly a wide band driver, capable of a very rich midrange and nice deep bass tone in an open baffle. You can almost taste the wood on a cello with these things, I kid you not.

The literature for the crossover says for the 305: 16 ohm crossovers at 6-db-per-octave 800 and 2500 cycles. Speaker uses two, B-207A coaxial drivers (I believe they're 8 ohm) and one 16 ohm B-209 mid. The crossover is a single N102. The B-207A consists of a B-199A Bass driver and two, B-200x tweeters.

Bozak is really famous for huge speakers. With a cabinet roughly the size and shape of a console/lowboy and weighing over 100 pounds. This speaker is one of their medium sized speakers. Measures 36.5 x 32 x 18.5 inch / 927 x 813 x 470 mm and weighs 110 lb (110 lb 0 oz) / 49.940 kg.

Contemporary cabinet is in good condition with a few scuffs and dust. There is one noticeable hole on the grille front. Please see the pictures for details. Shipping rates estimated as freight.
