The Cali Standard's electronics were engineered to be a straightforward affair, with tones that can go from warm jazz to punchy rock and everything in between. The two Friedman Classic Humbuckers balance a clear top end that enhances string-to-string definition with an aggressive midrange that sounds marvelous when driving an amp hard. And the internal CTS pots and Orange drop capacitors deliver the most pure signal possible.

Floyd Rose with Trem Stop

It's no secret that the Floyd Rose tremolo bridge is the top choice of metal guitarists, and it's earned its reputation for allowing ultra-expressive playing techniques with exceptional stability. But break a string and this floating trem will go right out of tune — that's why Friedman adds the Trem Stop on their Cali Standard guitars. If you happen to break a string with the Trem Stop engaged, the lowered tension on the bridge won't cause your other strings to go out of tune.
