About This Listing

Here we have an original late 1969 early 1970 Green tube EP-2 Maestro Echoplex. Internally it is the cleanest one of these I have ever seen and I have sold a dozen of them just in the past 3 years. It is also completely original inside except for a couple of changed capacitors and a changed to a 1/4" output cord.   It is in 'very' good and fully functional condition. The pot dates 6947 or the 47th. week of 1969.  Made by Market Electronics in Willoughby, Ohio.
Our technician of 35 plus years has been working on these units since the mid 70's and he had no problem making the necessary adjustments, testing, and cleaning, which he did.

I tested the unit myself and it works perfectly as it should and sounds excellent.

Cosmetically not too bad for a 50 some year old unit that is kind of rough around the edges as seen in the pictures dings and 1 small tear in the tolex. Comes with the original cover that has a slight tear on the front left seam. The handle is gone but has been replaced.  Odor free. NICE!

Unit weighs 15 lbs. w/cover

Shipping weight with box & case 20 lbs.

Shipping box is 20x14x14"

Lots of guitars, amplifiers, rack gear, they wanted a lot of stuff with LOTS of KNOBS!!

We did another movie bit last fall in a film called 'Miracle in Motor City.'

on the Lifetime channel last November 28th and it ran through Xmas day.

Product Overview
As one of the oldest of Maestro's Echoplex series, the EP-2, though not as famous as the following EP-3, is one of the most sought-after models. Using vacuum tubes, as well as its significance in the history of music gear, sets the EP-2 squarely in this category. Manufactured only in the early to mid '60s, the EP-2 (along with the original EP-1) is considered by many to be the best of the bunch due to its tubes, though they are infamous for being difficult to service. Regardless, that doesn't diminish the importance or value of Maestro's Echoplex EP-2.
