About This Listing

This guitar rocks! Really nice Charvel from back when Charvel was Charvel, it’s an iconic little guitar that personifies an entire era.

The world of Charvels is deep. They are a guitar that speaks for an entire era and generation of the 80’s. They’re mainly on thought of as more of a metal guitar, but I think there’s a lot more to them than the metal that they’re mainly associated with. Like a lot of metal guitars, they’re actually a really nice clean platform with crystal clear pickups that are designed to have every little nuance be razor sharp and audible, and that translates really well into a very crystal clear tone when you want it. It’s far from a one trick pony, it has a whole Swiss Army knife of abilities!

This one is awesome, it’s far and away one of the most fun Charvels to play that I’ve ever played. It’s all original and everything’s there! Original tuners, knobs, pickups, miraculously nothing‘s been swapped out. The neck is straight as an arrow, the frets are in great condition, it plays perfectly, it sounds and feels great, and the little short scale is so awesome. It’s light and feels really good on the strap. Condition wise, theres some standard missing ends that you see on pointy guitars where they break off, and there’s some scratches and dings throughout, but it’s pretty on brand and in character with the type of guitar. It’s great playing one with lightning fast action and it sounds really really good! Both pickups are seriously great sounding, the bridge pickup chimes and the neck has tons of depth. Great and rare guitar!
