This vintage instrument has had quite a life. I found it bereft of love and all hardware. It was lovingly and painstakingly restored to its former glory. Restoring it involved a thoughtful search for only Mosrite appropriate replacement parts. The task was entrusted to one of the finest luthiers in the business, who not only brought it back to life but also bestowed upon it a delicious new color and finish.

In a stroke of good luck I made a direct connection with Dana Mosely, the daughter of the renowned founder and creator of Mosrite guitars, Semie Mosley. Dana personally hand-wound new, perfectly balanced Mosrite pickups for this instrument, adding a touch of authenticity that is pretty freakin cool.

It also underwent an expert refretting, with Mosrite appropriate microfrets, resulting in an astonishingly playable instrument that will last another 50 years. A ton of cool features, including the "Mosrite of California" embossed pickups, a Gretsch-style zero fret, and perhaps one of the best-designed bridges ever created.

The pickups deliver a powerful, meaty tone that combines the best qualities of Fender and P90 pickups. With a 3-way toggle selector switch and master volume/tone controls giving you a unique and versatile range of sonic possibilities at your fingertips. The neck boasts a very comfy 'C' profile that makes for lightning-fast playing. The action is incredibly low, and the intonation is spot-on, resulting in a killer playing experience.
