Hey there.
Here we have a 2016 Firewild from Wild Customs.
I bought it from the fellow who owns Disaster Area designs (Midi Devices) and he had previously picked it up at NAMM from the Wild Customs guys whose booth was next to his.
Its a fantastic guitar with handwound wide range pickups by Hepcat (who does most of Wild Customs pickups).
It is very light and sounds Incredible clean or pushing a high gain amp doing hard rock or metal.
Here's the specs from WCG:
- Body: Khaya (Senegal Mahogany)
- Neck: Khaya (Senegal Mahogany)
- Fingerboard : Brazilian Pau Ferro (Rosewood substitute to respect the CITES agreement and the European Union wood species protection regulation 338/97)
- Scale length: 2475 / 22 frets
- Neck profile: C SHAPE
- Powered by HEPCAT "WILD RANGE" Made in Paris
- Bridge: TUNE O MATIC
- Finish: MAT PELHAM BLUE
- ELECTRONIC = 2 Vol + 1 Tone + 3 way switch
- HARDCASE
It's SUPER light, under 8 los. It balances well on a strap and sounds amazing plugged in. The Hepcat pickups are kind of a cross between a PAF and a WRHB, more open than a PAF and more gnarly than the Fender pickups. Wiring is really simple V-V-T + 3 way, like a Firebird or Explorer.
