Electa’s are merchandised by an Aussie owned company but are manufactured either in the Fujigen Factory in Japan (same factory where Ibanez guitars are made) or made in Korea - after some time when they moved their manufacturing from Japan to Korea. Can’t date the guitar as I can’t see any telling information or any serial number. Probably made in the late 90s to early 2000s.
I found this guitar at an Op Shop in Melbourne, and it has served me well for many years.
Guitar sounds and plays better than many of the Epiphone ES335’s I’ve played at guitar shops. The unbranded pickups it came with originally were muddy and terrible. It sounds good when you strum it acoustically so I knew a set of Tone rider Alnico II Classics would take the guitar to the next level and it really did.
Guitar exhibits the typical micro-scratches & swirl marks you find on nearly all guitars. There are two extremely minor imperfections. One is a small shallow dent near the strap button. The other is some light scratches about halfway down the neck which can only be seen in specific lighting. Most people wouldn’t bother to mention such minor imperfections; however, I like to be transparent and honest about the condition of my items for sale. Photos for these are in the ad.
