About This Listing

Nice 1930's May-Bell round hole archtop model 75 . Made by Slingerland. Solid mahogany all over. 13 1/2" lower bout. 25 1/2" scale. Fretboard has been replaced with an ebony board with medium frets and edge binding. Someone thought it was a good idea to put a strap button on bottom of the heel. The hole went through the neck block. The neck is glued in tight. The hole was cleared out and a #10 machine screw/with nut and washer was added. Then plugged with Mahogany. Not perfect but looks ok. There is a crack in the side that has been stabilized . See pics. It has a sweet sound and slappy when you need it. These guitars have a slight arch on either side of fretboard extension tapering shallower down to the bridge. Looks like the original tuners were replaced at some time. I can see an outline of the original. This is a sweet little guitar. Please ask any questions you may have. This is a restored vintage guitar. Sold as is no returns.
