About This Listing

Blackface Princeton Reverb AA764 circuit. Say no more. The Hottest amp on the planet right now! This one is really clean. Tube chart date is June of '67. Cosmetically extremely clean, it has a few minor issues. The vinyl bag the reverb pan sits in is missing, some of the blue molded caps and coin shaped resistors have been replaced. Everything has been saved and come with the amp though. Also has a new grounded AC cord. Tubes include orignal RCA rectifier, newer JJ power tubes (the originals come with) and newer Svetlana, Tung Sol and Raytheons in the preamps. Tranny's all correct. Main is dated 18th week of '67. Output is dated 20th week of '67. Reverb is dated 15th week of '67. Correct Jenson speaker dates 18th week of '66. Everything is functioning including Reverb and Tremolo but missing footswitch. Sounds wonderful as these all do. When you need less than a Deluxe Reverb. This is the secret weapon of Mike Campbell of Heartbreakers and countless other studio musicians.

Product Overview
The Black Panel Fender Princeton Reverb is one of the crown jewels of mid-'60s combo amps. This classic amp added a tube-driven reverb circuit to the popular Princeton student combo, and has been among the most widely used recording amps since its introduction in 1964. 12 to 15 watts of power from a pair of 6V6GT tubes can be fairly clean, or can push the 10" speaker into submission with an absolutely perfect, tight drive sound. The reverb is luscious and mates well with the tremolo circuit to bring some ambience to the sound that truly cannot be emulated with any kind of modern stomp box.
