Very cool little squarewave Yamaha keyboard. Unless they're new old stock I don't think these keyboards can ever be listed as mint condition cos the 2 vertical lines at the top of the face of the keyboard are like a dust magnet and terribly hard to keep clean. This one is actually rather clean in comparison to the other few of these PSS-130's I have, this one in excellent condition cosmetically, pristine working condition.

Includes original box (has expected wear and tear), original manual, and original warranty sheet.

Tested & personally cleaned, works perfectly.
No battery area corrosion.
Battery powered or 9-12V DC adapter powered (no batteries or power adapter included).
If you would like a power supply matching the keyboard specs,  message me and we can add one for $15.

As the PSS-130 does not have a line out, if you would like it modded to have a line out send me a message & we can do that for an additional $20.

TableHooters: (fyi - not a typo that below starts out with PSS-30 specs)

Yamaha PSS-30

This small Yamaha PortaSound keyboard from 1987 (embossed case date) was apparently the model for the case design of the great Hing Hon EK-001. It has 2 voice polyphonic squarewave sounds, a few interesting electronic percussion and a monophonic sequencer that can be played to.

  • 8 OBS preset sounds {clarinet, electric guitar, violin, oboe, xylophone, piano, banjo, harpsichord}
  • 8 OBS preset rhythms with interesting percussion {pops, disco, latin, 16beat, swing, slow rock, march/ polka, waltz}
  • demo button (monophonic "Yankee Doodle")
  • tempo control (16 steps?)
  • simple sequencer (monophonic record & playback, but it can play together with both keyboard voices)
  • volume control (4 steps)
  • sound generator is digital squarewave (crystal clocked)
  • drums are digital squarewave {medium blip, low blip}, cymbal/ hihat = metallic digital waveform
  • CPU="Yamaha YM2410, 76 07 85 E" (24 pin DIL)
  • alarm tone (2 notes) warns to save batteries.

Yamaha PSS-130

A midsize keyboard version of the Yamaha PSS-30 with foil buttons was released in 1986 as Yamaha PSS-120 and re- released in 1987 as PSS-130 (with different button colours).
