Vintage Alvarez 1987 DY77 Yairi Series Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar
This 1973 Alvarez Yairi DY 77 is a great example of the incredible handmade craftsmanship that made Kazuo Yairi famous when these guitars first came to the USA in the early 1970's. The tiny herringbone patterns are literally made up of thousands of tiny wood pieces. The solid sitka spruce top and rosewood back and sides were the kind of ages woods that Kazuo Yairi had stored and aged for perfect resonance.
