About This Listing

This Ampeg Dan Armstrong Bass was made based on the serial number in January 1970. I describe its condition as player-grade and Fair but it is very nice for its age. There are not even any significant dings in the neck or headstock. The tuners work well and the chrome is like new on the handles, with some oxidation on the tuning pegs. The original pick guard is cracked where it looks like someone tightened the nut down too much on the volume knob. It comes with the guitar and could be put back on. It is pictured with a replacement pickguardian pick guard. One screw hole was not quite aligned so that was enlarged slightly. There are some scratches on the lucite. There is some wear on the surface of the pick-up which is quite common with these. These basses have a 24 fret/2-octave neck but also short scale, and perfectly straight, what a joy to play. Please ask any questions or request additional pictures, this sale is final as I am not a retail seller. It comes with the original case and the price reflects the wear and condition described. Please compare this with other DAs for sale, it is priced significantly less than comparable ones. Shipping is payed by the buyer. I will ship Fed Ex unless otherwise requested. Shipping is an estimate for continental US, the actual cost will be charged to the buyer (refund if it is less).
