1950 Valco-made National 2x8”. Transition model of the Sportsman/1202 with pair of Jensen 8” p8s powered by 2x 6L6 coke bottles. It also has a master volume that appears to be original based off of the other 2 I’ve seen listed for sale in the past few years. But that’s it- this is #3. I’m going to this amp to my list of regrets because I love everything about it from style to tone but it’s spring cleaning time. My loss your gain.
Speaker Configuration: 2x8
Power Tubes: 6L6 / 5881
Tube Details: 6SJ7 (1), 6SL7 (1), 6L6 (2), 5Y3 (1)
Amp functions just as it should, but is all original- down the road it will likely require caps and would be safer to change to 3-prong. That’s up to next owner. I’ve packed and shipped many many amps in my lifetime, and will pack with extreme care but cannot always predict what shipping has in store. This amp will be fully insured via reverb safe shipping and signature confirmation. due to the nature of vintage amps- it is sold as-is with the understanding tubes and components can last forever and then go bad in an instant.
I’m sure if you know what this is, that last paragraph is a moot point.
Thanks for looking!
