About This Listing

1960s Douglas 2 Pickup guitar MIJ

Hello. Up for sale is a nice Douglas brand two pickup guitar that was made in Japan. These guitars are similar to Tiesco or Guyatone and were made in the early to mid 1960s. It is possible that the guitar was sold under a different name but it is like the Douglas branded guitars.

This one is a two pickup model and is in pretty clean condition. These guitars have a lot of chrome and a few of the normal rocker switches. The pickups work and the guitar has a little of the "empty beer can" sound. It doesn't look like the guitar was used very much.

The neck is reasonably straight. It has a caveman feel towards the body end but it gets a little thinner near the headstock. The frets are thin and it look like the fingerboard is Brazilian.

This one still has the original whammy bar. The little "steel reinforced neck" sticker is missing.

Sold as-is no returns. The guitar has been set up and works fine. Shipping is $75 USA and $175 to many countries.
