This is a tentative and loose listing, because to sell this thing would require a decent bit of communication beforehand.

The name isn’t a misnomer or catchy brand name, this is literal nuclear physics research equipment. I have been using it as a modular synth like a troglodyte.

I built this up from various university and lab auctions over the years. Cannot imagine what they paid for this stuff when it was new, other than conservatively well into the six figures.

As a result, build quality is something else. Haven’t really seen anything built as solidly as this outside of lab/industrial equipment.

Includes:

rack mount chassis and HEFTY psu

3x incredibly powerful and flexible pulse generators (2x BNC 8010, and 1x BNC PB-1). These are the most unique oscillators I’ve ever used. The pulse frequency and pulse width are tracked separately, so you can have a pulse width longer than the pulse frequency and start adding weird harmonics and octaves

1x ramp LFO (BNC) it’s pretty boring NGL

1x Ortec 575 Amplifier, modded for 1/4”. An insane preamp. Can provide up to 1500x clean boost (although it will undoubtedly overdrive whatever you send it into). Sounds great on guitars and bass too.

1x Ortec Dual mix and invert: it does those things

1x Ortec Single Channel Analyzer: oh god how do I explain this thing…. It’s a very useful too. Imagine a genius love child of a comparator and an S&H module and you’re getting there

1x Format converter (bnc to 1/4”)

Shipping this is going to be extremely pricey, it honestly might need to be shipped in a wooden crate. Weighs 50 pounds at the minimum. Would prefer local pickup—will meet anywhere within 200 miles of Delaware
