Fender Custom Shop Telecaster Masterbuilt Jason Smith Trans Sonic Blue Tele
This is the Fender Custom Shop Telecaster Masterbuilt Jason Smith Trans Sonic Blue Tele. This Tele is a one-of-a-kind beauty built by Fender Masterbuilder Jason Smith that is based on another Telecaster that he built which had been featured at the 2014 NAMM Show. We made some changes to that guitar that make this guitar a true one off guitar. One of the most notable features is the Trans Sonic Blue Finish. It is very subtle almost like a Powder Blue Vintage White with a Polyurethane Clear Coat NOS finish. It is truly unique. NOS means "New Old Stock" which means this guitar is not aged or worn like the relic or closet classic guitars are. No dings or scratches on this one. The body is Premium Lightweight Ash with a beautiful grain that is complemented by the Trans Sonic Blue Finish. The neck is a Satin Poly Finish on a Quartersawn Maple Neck that has the classic 10/56 "V" profile which is extremely comfortable to play but has a little chunkiness to it. This Masterbuilt Tele also features the more modern 9.5" Fretboard radius which is a flatter than the standard vintage radius which makes it a little easier to make big bends. In addition Jason Smith put 6105 Frets on this Telecaster for even easier playing. And to top it all off this guitar is fitted with a Subsonic Hardtail Bridge and this Tele is loaded with a Seymour Duncan P-90 Neck Pickup and Little '59 Bridge Pickup. So this tele can produce some serious tone. This is a true one-of-a-kind collectors piece from one of the great Fender Custom Shop Masterbuilders. This guitar only weighs 7.6 lbs. Don't let it get it away.
