About This Listing

This is a new Sabertooth™ electric guitar, handmade in Bellingham, Washington at Bright Guitars;

  • 25.5" scale length
  • Cedar body with Fir top
  • Maple neck with WedgeFit™ bolt-on design
  • American Ebony fingerboard with compound radius
  • Medium jumbo nickel-silver frets
  • Hand wound in-house P-90s, 4-way switch
  • Hipshot tuners, Graphtech bridge
  • "Rustic" finish
  • Completely handmade, hand carved, hand wound, hand wired, hand finished...
  • Comes with deluxe gig bag
  • 6 lbs 8 oz.

This guitar is light as a feather and has a very solid neck on it. The cedar and fir are local to Bellingham, and with the American Ebony fingerboard, this guitar is made of completely domestic materials!

We've been affectionately referring to this one as "ole' 68" because she's only 6 lbs 8 oz. But those custom P-90s bring as much heft as you would ever want. And the 4-way switch gives you Bridge, both Parallel, Neck, both Series for all the tones you need in one guitar.

The finish is very light. Generally we lay down a sealer coat of shellac before the lacquer. This guitar has such a light and airy feel to it that as soon as the sealer coats were on we stopped, in order to preserve the airiness. It looks fantastic, and it will age quickly and organically as you play it. Your friends with their "relics" will be jealous after a relatively short amount of playing.

A lot of people notice and comment on this one in the shop here. It is being sold as Excellent rather than New because it's been shown around and handled in the shop, but it's still new.
