ES 335 Lee Ritenour with VIDEO

The Gibson Custom Shop made this beautiful ES 335 together with Lee Ritenour in 2008. Altogether there were 100 unsigned and 50 personally selected and signed versions of Lees original 1961 guitar made :
This one is the very first, with the SERIAL LR001.

It comes from a collection and there was a repair carried out a the neck by the Gibson Custom Shop. It was not a breakthrough and the repair was done superb, so no marks are left to see (without black light). Since that is not an unusual repair with an ES, some say that the resonance is even improved-  in this case we definitly have a great sounding instrument with great sustain.

The one piece magohany neck is made according to Lees request: it is thin and more tapered.

The super thin nitro coating is tastefully aged. A stunning guitar, no wonder Lee selected this one as number one.
