About This Listing

Here is a very good condition, 1969 A. LoPrinzi Solid Mahogany classical guitar.

It was made by Augustino LoPrinzi in his early workshop in Flemington, New Jersey. This instrument is one of the earlier examples of Augustino LoPrinzi's work, but still bears his signature sound.

The overall condition of the instrument is very good. The guitar has been refurbished using nitrocellulose lacquer. The was only one hairline crack in the soundboard, next to the fretboard, that has been professionally repaired. There were a few stress lines in each of the sides at the bend of the waist which were also repaired. There are no other cracks of any sort in the rest of the instrument. There is also a slight water stain at the base of the back from many years ago, but no damage to the wood.

This hand-crafted guitar was built using solid mahogany for the back and sides, a Mahogany neck and a solid Spruce top. The outer binding is mahogany and head stock cap is Rosewood.

Scale length on this guitar is 650 millimeters. This scale length offers easy reach and lower string tension than longer scale guitars. The nut width measures 51 millimeters.

The ebony fretboard is in very good condition. The guitar has just been refretted for good intonation and easy play with rounded and polished fret ends. Action on the 12th fret low E string is 3.5 millimeters and the 12th fret high E string measures 2.7 millimeters.

The original signed label is in very good condition.

This guitar has individual tuning keys in excellent condition. The guitar will be carefully packed and shipped in a good condition travel case.
