About This Listing

** Relisting again due to non payment.

This is a dark metallic blue 1987 Jackson Dinky, with matching work order number #2044 on the body, in the neck pocket and neck. The date in the neck pocket is 9-21-87. The first picture is taken outside in the sun so you can see the metallic color but the other photos represent what the finish looks like inside in normal lighting.

It is in very good condition for its age, with some surface scratches. Also the 2 washers under the bridge posts are loose but then again so are most of mine. I did not reglue them down but the next owner can if they wish. There are marks on the body where someone had loosened the strings and the tremolo rested on the body and made marks where the metal rested.

The frets have little to no wear and comes with a Charvel hard case from the same period 2 of the latches are broken.

The closeup photo of the paint color was taken using a flash so you can see the actual color, but the color under normal lighting is dark blue.

The original pickup was replaced at some point along with the locking nut. The trem arm is not included.

Feel free to ask for any additional photos.

Comes from a non smoking home.

Product Overview
Jackson guitars emerged out of Charvel in the early '80s, as Charvel was becoming an in-demand bespoke guitar manufacturer. Jackson took up Charvel's custom order business, adding a few new models of their own, and continuing to ramp up the elaborate finishes and appointments. Jackson remained a custom-order only manufacturer until around 1989, when they opened up standard production models manufactured in Japan. While Jackson continued operating their full-custom US shop through their acquisition by FMIC in 2003, the "Pre-Production" era from 1981 - 1989 represent a rare slice of American guitar history.

The Dinky was listed as "Strat" in Jackson's order sheets.
