Carpenter Studio Gear's Desktop Studio Racks are hand-built in Brooklyn, NY. Made by audio people, for audio people, the racks are designed to be beautiful, durable, and fairly priced. Your rack should be as good as the gear inside of it, so you won't find any MDF, particle board, or laminate here. Each piece is built from hand-selected, fault-free Birch, which boasts 13 layers of solid wood for furniture-grade strength. While we don't recommend it, these racks are strong enough to sit or stand on. All racks have a standard interior width of 19 1/8”, with a quarter-inch gap at the top and the bottom to allow for the airflow that your gear needs to stay cool. And with customizable depths, you won't struggle to reach into the rear to access your ports, or find that deeper rack-mounted units stick out of the back. And these aren't your standard black plastic road cases, either. Our 100% natural, 0-VOC finishes mean you have a beautifully stained piece of wood in your studio that complements your aesthetic without off-gassing harmful chemicals.
