The Taylor 612ce captures the flagship 600 series tone woods and appointments in the super comfortable grand concert body shape. The Grand Concert body shape has a relaxed feel and will appeal to fingerstyle players, electric players and strummers alike.
Master guitar designer Andy Powers takes the maple and spruce instrument to a whole other level. Torrefaction is a process of roasting the top at a specific temperature and time in an almost oxygen free chamber. The result is a beautiful golden brown top that sounds broken in, as if the guitar has had time to mature a bit while being played.
The maple back and sides have a striking brown sugar stain treatment. With bracing architecture modifications, Andy has figured out a way to evoke more bass response and sustain out of the guitar, while preserving the sparkle players have grown to love with maple. V-Class bracing enhances volume and sustain while redefining intonation and what it means for notes to be in tune as you explore the fretboard. Super thin finish and refined wood thicknesses unleash greater tone and warmth.
With beautiful ebony binding, grained ivoroid wings fretboard and headstock inlays, 24-7/8" scale length, dark stained maple pickguard, ebony fretboard and bridge, and paua rosette with single ring ebony sound hole binding, you have a guitar that looks amazing and sounds incredible, acoustic or plugged in. This is the guitar you can play comfortably on the couch for hours with little arm fatigue.
