New Complexity Harmonic Isolator 2014

This extraordinary and unusual New Complexity Harmonic Isolator was built in 2014 by Lewis Waters in Australia. It is a "third bridge" instrument inspired by Hans Reichel's instruments which reveal entirely new dimensions in string activity. The Harmonic Isolator excels at creating lush, complex soundscapes by means of the amplified afterlength of the 6 strings; that is to say, the string section between the bridge and the string anchors has its own pickups. There is a Sustainiac on the "regular" side for intense droning and infinite sustain. The Seymour Duncan Hot Rails and Bartolini pickups are clear and strong. There's a Tusq nut and Sperzel locking tuners. The body is Tasmanian Blackwood; I'm not sure about the neck wood or fingerboard woods but they are stable and beautiful. The natural harmonic fretting hones in on specific overtones. There are three outputs: one is the sum of the two sections of strings; the other two are for the individual sections. It has straplocks for your strap. There are a few minor scratches/scuffs on the instrument but it has always been treated gently and kept in a climate controlled environment. Lewis' work is fine...the design and build are of the highest quality. There are not many of these in the world!
